The Fully Welded Underground Ball Valve is a high-performance valve specifically designed for buried pipelines, widely used in natural gas, oil & gas, chemical, and municipal gas systems. Its fully welded body eliminates bolted connections, ensuring long-term leak-free operation underground. The valve is operated via an extended stem or gear mechanism, allowing ground-level control and remote operation.


Working Principle

The valve operates by rotating a hollow spherical ball with a bore through the flow path.

  • When the valve is open, the bore aligns with the pipeline, allowing fluid to pass with minimal pressure drop.
  • When the valve is closed, the ball rotates 90°, blocking the flow completely.
  • The floating ball design ensures tight sealing under pressure, while trunnion-mounted options are available for larger diameters and higher pressures.
  • Extended stems transmit the torque from the ground-level operator to the underground ball, ensuring precise control.
